The key factor that makes Qumulo fundamentally different than traditional network storage systems is that it allows you to see your data, instead of simply storing it. We had to create a story that highlights this revolutionary shift in this space.
Working directly with the team at Qumulo we crafted a script and storyboard sequence that followed streams of data from its creation, to its possibilities of unlocking human innovation, and ultimately to how the data is stored.
Landing on a design aesthetic that visualized data and what it was capable of took several rounds of design iterations. In the end, we created a world made up of elegant lines and particles to illustrate the power of data.
Coming off of our last commercial for Finish, we dove into the deep end using X-Particles for this project. This tool allowed us to create and control visually stunning particle effects with relatively low simulation and render times.
The video was well received by employees, customers, and investors at Qumulo’s launch party in Seattle. Being passionate customers of Qumulo ourselves, we are incredibly ecstatic to have been a part of a launch for such a unique product. We’re excited about the future of data and how the human race can truly utilize it.
