Anime Expo – Merchandise

Blind partnered with Anime Expo to rebrand their 2017 event. With that, came an opportunity to design custom merchandise– shirts, hats, collectibles, and gear for those on the go. Using a mix of anime and manga inspired graphics, Blind helped the brand create new exclusive merchandise to open up revenue opportunities for the event. The collaboration yielded a 200% increase in sales of merchandise from the previous year and sold out 11 of the 15 SKUs.

Exclusive Gear

To keep AX fans looking fresh year round, we designed a series of exclusive shirts and hats. This included custom lettering, graphics, and details that reflect the rebrand.

Creative Director, Matthew Encina: “It’s an exciting opportunity for us to be involved in designing the merchandise for Anime Expo. It allows us to flex our design muscles and show that, beyond a digital screen, we understand how the brand extends into products the fans will love.”

Collectibles

We created the packaging for Anime Expo’s first-ever collectible vinyl toy, Max.
To commemorate the event, we also designed a set of enamel pins featuring AX’s original characters.
