99¢ Only Stores

Using Stop Motion And Neatly Arranged Objects, 99 Cents Only Stores Encourages You To Do The 99

If you’ve ever visited a 99 Cents Only Store then you know how vast their offerings are. This may overwhelm some, but to those keen—and perhaps a little eccentric—observers, it’s the only place to find that special something they’ve been looking for. In this case, those somethings are an oversized emoji bouncy ball and a mariachi snowman.

What Is Knolling?

You know those overhead photographs of things neatly arranged on a desk that you see everywhere? That’s knolling. Yea, we didn’t know there was a term for it either.

99 Cents Only Stores recently launched some delightful knolled print ads. You can find several of them on billboards around Los Angeles.

To extend that idea into motion, Blind and PWC worked together to write, knoll and direct two stop-motion animated spots for broadcast.

Everything you see on screen was found at 99 Cents Only Store. Whether it’s a modern dinner party, neon dance party or emoji-themed-rager, 99 Cents Only Stores have everything you need and then some.
