How Creatives Learn w/ Petrula Vrontikis

The millennial generation learns differently than previous ones. They have a high level of learning agility and curiosity. But, this advantage is matched with an equally high level of emotional fragility—a state that short-circuits their ability to make decisions and access their own intuition. I am concerned about the internal and external pressures that my students experience—the ones that influence the way they learn. I look forward to sharing my research with you and your viewers.

About Petrula

Petrula Vrontikis is a designer, author and educator based in Los Angeles. She is the creative director and owner of Vrontikis Design Office and has taught senior-level graphic design and professional practice courses at Art Center College of Design for more than 20 years. She is an avid traveler and visual translator. It’s not unusual to find her 85 feet underwater, climbing a steep and rocky slope, or twisting her body like a pretzel in a yoga class. Clients include the Carnegie Observatories, University of California, Los Angeles and the Monterey Bay Aquarium, among many others.
